What we actually collect (very little)
Not yet reviewed by an attorney. This page is a plain-language, factual description of RoleMath’s current data practices as of July 2026. It is not yet an attorney-finalized policy and is not legal advice. The finalized policy will replace this page and will be dated.
Browsing this site: no account, no ads, no tracking pixels.
RoleMath is a static reference site. You can read every page without creating an account. We run no advertising, no ad-tech trackers, and no cross-site tracking pixels.
The planner: what every run stores, and what email adds.
The planner works without signing in. Every planner run — with or without an email — stores the intake answers you enter (current role, skills, budget, location, salary goal, and the other planner fields), the scored result, and the page you started the planner from, so we can quality-check the scoring and improve the product. These runs are not used for advertising and are not sold or shared. If you also choose to receive your plan by email, we additionally store that email address, your consent choice, and a linked record of the plan we sent you. Runs are retained until deleted; you can request deletion of any run or email record by writing to [email protected] with the approximate date and details of your run.
Asking us to help source training: it is an email, so nothing exists here until you send it.
The request page opens your own mail client with the questions laid out — certification, who is paying, how many people, timing, delivery preference. Nothing is collected by this site: there is no form, no cookie and no record of you until the message arrives, and if you close the draft nothing happened. What we then hold is the email itself, in an ordinary inbox, containing whatever you chose to write. We use it to reply to you. It goes on no marketing list. Nothing reaches a training provider unless you ask for an introduction and agree to the specific providers we name to you, and then it goes to at most two. Ask us to delete the thread at any time and we will. The address in use today is a personal Gmail account while a rolemath.com address is arranged, which means Google processes it as it would any other mail to that account.
Analytics: aggregate and cookie-less, if enabled.
If analytics are active, they are privacy-first aggregate counts (which pages are visited, roughly where traffic comes from) with no cross-site tracking and no individual profiles.
Infrastructure logs.
Like nearly every website, our hosting providers (Cloudflare, Railway) keep standard server logs — IP addresses and requests — for security and reliability. We do not use these to profile you.
What we will never do.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never will — selling data is a different business from the one we are in. We do not share your details with a training provider unless you specifically ask us to make an introduction; if you do, it goes to at most two providers and you see who first. We share nothing with schools or recruiters. If our practices change, this page changes first, dated, before anything else does.
Questions or removal requests
If you gave us your email through the planner and want it deleted, contact us and we will delete it. See the about page for who runs RoleMath and how we make money for our independence commitments.
