Choose the advanced credential for the cloud you already design in — not the brand you hope will replace experience. Google Professional Cloud Architect and AWS Solutions Architect Professional have no formal predecessor certification, though both vendors recommend substantial hands-on experience. Azure Solutions Architect Expert is different: Azure Administrator Associate is required before AZ-305 completes the credential. If you cannot defend architecture tradeoffs in working systems, build associate-level evidence first.
What we don't know
No official source proves that one provider's architect credential produces better hiring, salary, promotion, or return-on-investment outcomes. Platform fit depends on the systems you use or credibly target, and RoleMath does not turn its dated employer-language sample into a market-share ranking.
